Up to this week, five patents for piston engine geometry and controls have been granted in US patent office.

——–EV or Clean Fuel ?——–

A 50% cut in GHG might not be possible in 2030 even if the transportation system is totally electrified (EV). Fossil fuels still dominate in power generation.

Piston engine account more than 14% GHG emission worldwide in transportation only. But in existing piston engine, the fuel efficiency on crankshaft is less than 30%.

Each type of engine is designed to burn certain type of fuel; the fuel efficiency is compromised if switched to other types of fuel. This is an actual barrier blocking the end users from switching to bio-fuel such as ethanol, or H2 in the future.

The transition from fossil fuel to electrification costs too much, the infrastructure investment is huge, and most countries just cannot afford the electrification solution.

The new engine we are developing can increase fuel efficiency by 116% with much lower costs (new engine size based on Toyota 1NZ +auxiliary piston, compression ratio=10.5:1, crankpin offset=12mm), cut GHG by 50% when burn gasoline. The GHG emission is 20% lower than EV solution even burn fossil fuel.

Believe or not, we are working on this magic machine, first prototype will be ready to test soon. Extensive tests and simulations show the great potential of technology. We did not modify the combustion theory, we just modified the combustion chamber geometry .

More to come…..
